Your Opportunity

  • The Night Manager is responsible for the overall running of the hotel on a day to day basis, ensuring all tasks and duties are carried out in accordance to Marriott policy and procedures.
  • This role is to ensure the guest service is of the highest standard, displaying at all times a professional, competent attitude and commitment to exceeding guest expectations.
  • Process all payments in accordance with Accounting procedures and policies.
  • Follow property control audit standards and cash handling procedures (e.g. blind drops)
  • Be vigilant and be alert in making sure security measure in the hotel is maintained at all times.
  • Check and pass on all guest mail, messages and parcels promptly.
  • To liaise closely with Housekeeping on information relating to rooms and lost property.
  • Ensure security procedures are maintained according to policy.
  • Providing services that are above and beyond following Brand Standards for customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Exhibit and deliver Mind Blowing Service.
  • Interact positively with hotel guests as well as members of the public, being sure to offer them a professional and proactive service at all times.
  • Handling guest complaints with patience and in the most professional manner, Refer to Senior Management if required.
  • Liaises with Reservation & Sales team regarding any changes in arrivals, departures, groups and VIP’s.
  • Identifying the developmental needs of others and coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.
  • Has a thorough knowledge of hotel services and facilities and perform site inspections when and as required.

  • 2 years experience in a Managerial role within a hotel.
  • An up to date RSA.
  • Displays high grooming standards.
  • A genuinely warm & welcoming demeanor.
  • Energising motivation - it’s infectious - no job is too big or too small!
