    Your Opportunity: 

    • To ensure that all dishes are prepared consistently and are of high quality.
    • To organize and set up their assigned section of the kitchen effectively. 
    • To assist the Executive Chef in ensuring culinary standards comply with the hotel's policies, procedures and standards.
    • Ensure all kitchens are kept hygienically clean and follow necessary food safety practices.
    • To assist management with the training of new associates when needed
    • Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles.
    • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.

      About you: 

      • 2+ years’ experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or hotel.
      • Certificate III Commercial Cookery or higher.
      • A good understanding of food safety practices and hygiene practices.
      • Willingness to learn all aspects of the kitchen and work in both the restaurant and events.
      • Good communication skills, attitude and be a team player.
      • A genuinely warm & welcoming demeanour.
      • Energising motivation - its infectious - no job is too big or too small.
