The Brisbane Marriott Hotel is seeking Brilliant Hosts to join our Team.

Perfectly situated in the CBD next to the Brisbane River and the iconic Story Bridge, the hotel’s riverside location is in close proximity to public transport hubs, and a short walk from the Queen Street Mall.

Multiple positions available as server, bartender, and barista

We're on the look out for food & beverage professionals to work in our contemporary dining restaurant, Motion.  

If you're a Beverage Lover, join our team in Motion Restaurant. Whether it's breakfast and coffee's or dinner, wine, and cocktails, we're seeking passionate and inventive individuals to serve beverages with sophistication.  Barista's and Mixologists encouraged to apply.

If you're a Foodie on the other hand, Motion Restaurant has is covered too. With 5 star silver service, show us how brilliant you can be with exceptional service on the floor.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Host our guests BRILLIANTLY in all food & beverage outlets including; Motion Dining, In Room Dining, and the Executive Lounge
  • Provide guests with extensive knowledge on the menus offered along with promotions
  • Use your upselling skills to promote menu items
  • Anticipate guest needs and handle guest inquiries in a helpful and attentive manner
  • Develop a close and harmonious working relationship with all departments within the hotel
  • Handle any guest queries throughout their stay
  • Assist Front Office and kitchen when required

Ideally, you will have: 

  • Previous experience in a customer-focused position
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to create personal connections with guests
  • Passion for food and beverage and providing exceptional customer service that is above and beyond
  • The ability to think quickly on your feet and solve problems promptly
  • Ability to effectively work independently and also part of a team
  • Positive attitude, great multi-tasker and organised with great attention to detail
  • Flexibility with working shift work and weekends
  • Motivated to learn new skills and develop in their role
  • Hold an up to date RSA certificate
